Vasilios Sfinarolakis

Vasilios Sfinarolakis (b.1985) is a documentary photographer and professional schlep. He is capable of carrying heavy things as well as burdens. His interests are in covering conflict of all varieties with a penchant for things war-like. He believes everyone has a non-pre-determined destiny and that destiny should be pursued with hot intensity. He has covered Fading Culture in Crete, the Inauguration of Barack Obama, and most recently the plight of the Navajo in Gallup, New Mexico. He spends much of his time researching global conflicts and not nearly enough time documenting/bringing awareness to them. He is a self-taught photographer and studied photojournalism under Balkan war photographer Michele Pero. He spends most of his time in New England and freelances for the New York Times.
