Gelato! Art Salon

Andrea Norden

Andrea Norden.

22 years old, from Stockholm, Sweden. Currently living and studying in New York.

I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember and in 2007 I had two art exhibitions in Stockholm. I see art as a way to channel my thoughts and feelings and express myself without words. Besides yoga I use art as a form of meditation.

My works are reflections of what I see and feel. I have always appreciated the smaller details in life, the things that seem obvious and are easy to look beyond. Picturing the most ordinary things like; the gaze of an eye, an expression on a face, or the ways the sunlight produces life to something lifeless, makes me able to give it meaning. In a world of colors, lines and creativity I can highlight objects that amazes me; the small things that are right in front of us which in my opinion often are the most beautiful.

What wonderful work! She looks as if the smoke is coming right off the page. Her physique is athletic yet she smokes–an interesting juxtaposition.
The shading and composition in each is detailed and insightful. his eyes/gaze are pure pathos offset by his pronounced right clavicle and the accentuated strap muscle on his right neck.

    Well done!

Hello Andrea! I’d like to know, what is the name of this painting? It’s about my art task in school and I have chosen this painting. So I’d also like to know when this painting has been made and which technique/metod did you use?
Could you please answer me back to my e-mail!
